Summer Travel

School was out,
And students were stirring about;
Packing for trips and having fun;
Our summer had just begun.
Three teenage girls were packing bags;
For across the Atlantic deep,
Headed for Germany East.
Bailey was the first to arrive at the airport.
She was the best of people sorts.
Always nice and caring;
If something was ever needed, she was always sharing.
Bailey had long dark hair with blue eyes,
And always gave a happy, “Hi!”
Allie was next;
Rushed to the airport somewhat vexed.
Hair was messy in a bun;
Ready to begin this fun.
Bailey looked at me, pointed, laughed and said:
“Oh my! Allie, did you just wake up from bed?”
I looked down at my socks.
One was green and the other, color of fox.
“Oh well,” said I.
“They will get me by.”
Miranda was last.
How she wanted to have a blast.
Unsure what to bring,
It was decided to bring everything.
She came in the airport with two large bags,
Over stuffed with clothes and other lags.
Miranda tiredly walked in but with something to say;
Her mouth was continually on play.
She always wanted to complain,
So someone else would feel her pain.
And so the time was at hand,
For their trip was so wonderfully planned.
Passing security,
Rather hurriedly,
They arrived at the plane and took their seat,
Finally they are able to relax their feet.
The pilot said, “It is time to go.”
Three teenage girls were ready to begin the show.
